Mercedes Devine
Mercedes Moore Devine is the Executive Director of The Society of California Pioneers, a member of our organization, and the proud mother of three Pioneers. Her family has been active in our organization for generations. Mercedes has a masters degree in Public History and continues to enjoy discovering details about the defining events and colorful characters in California history.
John Hogan
John Hogan has curated exhibitions and created education programs for nonprofit organizations, including The Society of California Pioneers Museum and Library, for almost twenty years. Drawing from his experience as both a teacher and a theatre artist, he designs online content and museum exhibitions to foster a humane regard for those who came before us.
Lauren Menzies
Lauren Menzies has been working with museum collections for nearly a decade and is passionate about caring for artifacts of historic and cultural significance. She has a masters degree in History and Museum Studies and worked for the Science Museum of Minnesota and the National Park Service before joining the team at The Society of California Pioneers.
